ಚಕ್ಷುಷ್ಮತೀ ವಿದ್ಯಾ

HAKSHUSHMATI VIDYA (MANTRA) FOR EYE PROBLEMS

This is a powerful mantra for the prevention and cure of problems relating to the eyes.  The mantra is addressed to the Sun god who is the presiding deity for the eyes. This to be chanted at sunrise after bathing and putting on freshly washed clothes. Take some water in a copper basin and chant this mantra facing the Sun, all the time touching the vessel containing the water.  Meditate on the resplendent form of the Sun while chanting. After the chanting is over prostrate before the Sun and wash your eyes with the water.  It is gathered that repeating this daily with faith has produced wornderful results in many cases. ಒಂ ಅಸ್ಯಾಃ ಚಕ್ಷುಷ್ಮತೀ ವಿದ್ಯಾಯಾಃ ಅಹಿರ್ಬುಧ್ನ್ಯ ಋಷಿಃ
        ಗಾಯತ್ರೀ ಛಂದಃ
        ಸೂರ್ಯೊ ದೆವತಾ 
        ಒಂ ಬೀಜಂ
        ನಮಃ ಶಕ್ತಿಃ
        ಸ್ವಾಹಾ ಕೀಲಕಂ
        ಚಕ್ಷೂರೋಗ ನಿವೃತ್ತಯೆ ಜಪೆ ವಿನಿಯೊಗಃ
ಒಂ ಚಕ್ಷುಷ್ಚಕ್ಷುಃ ತೆಜಃ ಸ್ಥಿರೊ ಭವ | 
ಮಾಂ ಪಾಹಿ ಪಾಹಿ|   
ತ್ವರಿತಂ ಚಕ್ಷುರೊಗಾನ್ ಪ್ರಶಮಯ ಪ್ರಶಮಯ| 
ಮಮ ಜಾತರೂಪಂ ತೆಜೊ ದರ್ಶಯ ದರ್ಶಯ | 
ಯಥಾಹಂ ಅಂಧೊ ನ ಸ್ಯಾಂ ತಥಾ ಕಲ್ಪಯ ಕಲ್ಪಯ| 
ಕೃಪಯಾ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಂ ಕುರು ಕುರು| 
ಯಾನಿ ಮಮ ಪೂರ್ವಜನ್ಮೊಪಾರ್ಜಿತಾನಿ

ಒಂ ವಿಶ್ವರೂಪಂ ಘೃಣಿನಂ ಜಾತವೆದಸಂ | 
ಹಿರಣ್ಮಯಂ ಜ್ಯೊತಿರೂಪಂ ತಪಂತಂ | 
ಸಹಸ್ರರಶ್ಮಿಃ ಶತಧಾ ವರ್ತಮಾನಃ
ಪುರಃ ಪ್ರಜಾನಾಮುದಯತ್ಯೆಷ ಸೂರ್ಯಃ || 

ಒಂ ನಮೊ ಭಗವತೆ ಸೂರ್ಯಾಯ ಆದಿತ್ಯಾಯ ಅಕ್ಷಿತೆಜಸೆ ಅಹೊವಾಹಿನಿ ಸ್ವಾಹಾ | 
ಒಂ ವಯಃ ಸುಪರ್ಣಾ ಉಪಸೆದುರಿಂದ್ರಂ
ಪ್ರಿಯಮೆಧಾ ಋಷಯೊ ನಾಧಮಾನಾಃ
ಅಪ ಧ್ವಾಂತಮೂರ್ಣುಹಿ ಪೂರ್ಧಿ ಚಕ್ಷು:
ಮುಮುಗ್ಧ್ಯಸ್ಮಾನ್ ನಿಧಯೆವ ಬದ್ಧಾನ್
